I'm not anti-**** or anything (except anything involving animals.. that sorta freaks me out just a bit...) but this is crazy. gotta draw the line somewhere! first fieros.com and now this..?
Yeah, that was FOCOA's site-I was gonna email them regarding the IMSA Widebody kit and when I went there I got this blank page that says "Enter" and all these pop-ups that are too gross to mention around kids. FOR GOD's SAKE! What is going on here?

It's a common practice for these types of companies......if a particular person or company forgets to renew their registration for a particular domain name these **** sites snap them up.
I remember hearing about a church or some type of religious entity that had the same thing happen to them. They forgot to pay their dues and their website turned into a **** site.
I think the register companies should keep better tabs......at least have a longer grace period and e-mail them to make sure they want to drop their registration.
Oh well.
I believe (according to another post) that FOCOA has a new web address. I have no idea what it is though.

Easyhosting.com here in canada has a 60 day grace period to prevent this sort of thing - on a side note this can have the opposite effect as well - every phreakin other day I get an email saying "You haven't renewed your domain!"

Someone in America register a business name just called Fiero. Legally you will have the right to the name Fiero.com and could sue if they refuse to hand it over as I am sure the **** site isn't named Fiero **** PTY LTD.
Another business called Fiero Owners will get the other one.
We have much better protection on our domain names in Aus. Only registered businesses are allowed to have a .com.au name and it must be relevant to their business or it gets knocked back. Some will scream that isn't fair but if clubs want names that is why we have .org and .org.au.

Usually I am against Gov't intrusion into the net but this is ridiculous. Letting them turn a normally regular site into a cheap **** site is really messed up. What if some little kid gets onto his dads computer and goes to that site thinking its about Fiero's? Something has to be done. I guess I didn't realize this until now. I am not against **** either but this has nothing to do with free speech or whatever.

I think people need to have more respect for others, ie. NOT taking their domain name and using it for a **** site..
also, I have yet to EVER see a kid even remotely damaged by viewing ****, unless it's gross or violent.. (and normal people usually avoid that anyway... I know I do.) the kids that lead a 100% sheltered life are the ones that get messed up when they're older, and suddenly mommy and daddy aren't there to protect them anymore. heh.
but anyway, I bet we could get a Fiero business, have forum members be shareholders, etc.. then we'd get all those domain names. hehe
I'll take $200 share, Steve! lol... I agree about the sheltered thing, my fiance (btw-I'm engaged) was raised by devout Southern Baptist parents, and now that she is actually beginning to feel "urges" she is so afraid of them because she's afraid of becoming "corrupted". I love her parents but hate them for making her feel like she needs to be afraid of sexuality to be a good person. I'm from a very liberal (but still moralized) family, and I was raised to be comfortable with who I am and what I do, as long as it hurts nobody. I am Baptist, but people need to stop using God's all-seeing eye as a free babysitter!
