I was noticing all the whoopla about gauge faces lately.
Well last week I finaly found a Full instrument cluster with a tach and gauges for my 93 Corsica. I put it in and had the other one sitting here for a few days and decided to examine it a bit closer and lookie what I found out.

here is the old instrument cluster, the speedo face is roughly the same size as the Fieros

As you can see it is backlit in blue.

Here you can see how the needles get lit from the plastic backing.

And best of all is you can PEEL THE FACE RIGHT OFF! I can't imagine it being to hard using compass to scribe a circle around the speedo and cut it out.

FYI the Baretta's also have the same cluster and some have the FULL instrument package. It cost me 30 bucks at a salvage yard for the full cluster with tach , volt meter, oil pressure and temp gauges built in it. I think with a little care you can even cut out the idiot light film and transplant it to the Fieros idiot lights.

Speaking of idiot lights...

I have been lately working on having a Pegasus light up instead of the shift light. I was thinking of making my own brand new set of overlays, and maybe even doing them in white, like 88CoupeV6's, to match my white gauges. But, I didnt think that I could make them as nice as his, so I just printed out a outline of the pegasus, used some acetone to remove the old "shift" lettering, and stuck it there. I haven't installed it yet, but I'm planning on it soon.

88CoupeV6 - if you read this, and if you have time, I'd like for you to make me a set of those warning light overlays, and possibly have something different for the shift light, like a pegasus or something different even.

Interesting idea Bill. Particularly with so many gauge panels already lieing around junkyards. You will find most are stick on. Well GM ones anyway.
