So Archie,

Does the engine compartment vent into the trunk or is there an duct built into the deck lid?

On the Fino, the stock trunk forward seal remains functional and the stock Fiero vents on either side of the deck lid do the same job they did with the original body.

so the fino rear clip uses the stock decklid vents? can you use either the gt or the coupe style vents?

are you going to have any cars with the original finale hatch? I like the hatch better because i like to see the engine.

You need to use the Coupe vents.

Yeah, I like the hatch too. Especially when I have a V-8 in the car. I like to call it "Chevy under glass".

The car we are painting this week (yes, yet another one) has the Fino nose and the Hatchback style rear clip &, of course a SBC engine.

BTW We wouldn't happen to be, shall we say on the same wave-length again.

Archie... I must say, it's been a while since I've looked at those kits. I especially like them in Silver and Red!

How much work would a "layman" have to put into the body to get it ready to paint? Does It need a lot of sanding and filling?

I know very little about body work, but that looks like something that might be a good project, down the road.
