Dear Mr. Kosik,

Thank you for contacting the Internet Response Center. We certainly appreciate your interest and
enthusiasm for the Pontiac Fiero. Contrary to rumors that seem have have spread, GM did not destroy
the prototype 1989 Fiero. This model will continue to be stored, along with all the other
prototypes and concept vehicles, at the GM Proving Ground facility in Michigan. Unfortunately, body
kits would not be available and it is unlikely that Pontiac would ever produce them.

Thank you again for contacting the Internet Response Center and for making Pontiac your vehicle of
choice.

Sincerely,

Donald Stailey
Customer Relationship Manager
GM Internet Response Center

So it appears they have kept the 89 GT used in promos and shots. I was kinda hoping they had. The others are definately gone though...they cleared the outside holding yard of every vehicle several weeks ago.

But also did they send you a picture to back up their claims of it still being in existence as it certainly wasn't one of the cars in the back holding yard. It is probably stored inside somewhere.

But if they do have one why are they telling people they have via their internet enquiries when they are telling Pontiac Historical Services they are all gone?

What comes to mind also is how up to date is a customer service rep handling internet enquiries when he is probably trained to answer new car requests.

In fact from reading the letter I feel the rep doesn't know a lot at all as he mentioned "the" 89 Fiero...didn't he know about the other 3?

The plot thickens.
