Well it seems it was worthwhile to start making my speaker pods so I figured if I am going to tool back up for my old job of Auto panels and accessories I might as well throw a few more ideas around to see which ones are viable.
Below is the first stage of a body kit I am planning for coupes, after requests to put the scoops off one of my designs into a more useable format without major body work requirements.
This is only the first of 3 stages of the kit planned for the coupe.
This stuff will take a few months yet for me to get into production if people are interested as this is just a hobby and I still have to run my business full time.
This is what it would look like unpainted and fitted. An 8 piece kit or 6 if the roof extensions are not wanted.
Painted up and ready for the road. More stages to come.

Sweet very sweet. I see big things in your future. You should design some Corvette and Porsche pieces make lots of money off them wealthy folks then pass the savings to us thrifty Fiero folk. I would buy it Im glad someone is doing something for the notch.

AUS, any idea how much you would ask for the eight piece kit? I would be very interested in the whole kit. BTW what is stage three? I want one. I'm in no big hurry so take your time but keep us/me informed.
Peace, B2 OUT!

Price wise I will have to work out, but I am pretty sure it will be reasonable. The side scoops behind version 1 would on the left would be split in 2 behind the outer scoop and route to the original air cleaner as well as a brake cooling duct. On the right side it would all route to a brake cooling duct
Stage 2 is getting drawn now. An thinking about adding extending the top of the notchback a couple of inches to enable a small rear roof scoop to be fitted that could have its plumbing built into the new extension. Take it down into the engine bay through the extended notback roof and connect up with the original air filter box for ram air induction, or cold air induction, whichever you wish to call it. With no visible plumbing it will just look to be part of the body. If that happens the left side vent will become all brake cooling duct or stage ones option, depending on what people want. A different rear spoiler is also on the cards in stage 2.
Stage 3 will be all of the above with new side skirts and also front and rear lower bumper covers for a more agressive look. Also considering a large rear wing more suited to the track than the road...but hell it will look good
Will post stage 2 in the very near future.

F*** mechams, I want those!!!! AusFiero, I gotta say.. you're damn talented.. I LOVE your fiero ideas, and your website has got some really good stuff on it. Keep us posted as to the pricing and availability of those scoops, I'm quite interested..
I like the roof extensions. I like the scoops too, but I'm not clear as to whether they are designed only for the "aero" body, or for those of us with Formulas/base coupes. Or will they replace the lower rockers, altogether?

I love the scoops... the notch extensions I'm not sure if I love them or am somewhat indifferent. But if the scoops will fit my 85 GT, you can bet I'll get a pair before I start the body work on my car. The roof/engine scoops sound very interesting. If you can design a hood vent that's as classy as those side scoops you'll be my hero! I won't have to look anyone else for my body panels.

The funny thing is that the Corvette side scoops were designed to look like reversed versions of the scoops on a NSX. Now you're turning them back around. It looks good though.
About the notchback extensions, do they make the sail panel long enough for fastback quarter windows to fit? Or something similar, I really like the notchback look, but I want to be able to look around behind me too.

Note that while there was nothing but Notchbacks, Fieros sold well. Only after the GT went "fastback" did the Corvette folks start getting worried!! ....

That looks really good Mike. Adds an extended cabin feel to it.
I should post some of my more radical non feasible ideas some day for the artistic value only.
Not that the one you just did fits in that category as it is very feasible and probably wouldn't be hard to do. Use full panel replacements rather than extensions.
May even consider it myself on stage 3 of this design
The idea of stage one is to keep the costs down but still give a stylish look.
Cost wise I should have something worked out within 3 days.

To answer another questions the side scoops will go on any Fiero, but I would recommend putting GT lower skirts on as drawn in this design. The skirts are standard GT items.
Without the skirts the lower section of the car would take on the wrong shape and actually look higher off the ground than what it is due to the shape and location of the scoops.

Bring on the prices! Shipped to the US of course.... I'm breaking into all of my piggy banks now! This is just the kind of different thing I have been wanting for my fastback T-top Indy clone! Keep up the good work!
First of all i must say nice, very nice i like the side scoops alot. Oh and i was wondering how you build something like the scoops, i want to try and make a few things myself.

I think I will manage Roy. I spent 7 years in the car accessory industry making car spoilers, flared guards, etc and race car bodies using composite materials (Kevlar & Carbon Fibre)and am also a qualified graphic artist. I am also a formally trained architectural draftman and spent a number of years working as a panelbeater/spraypainter as well. All these things sorta combine for my love of car bodies, don't know much about mechanical side of things but like nice curves
About to post body kit stage 2.
Gotta give me a little time on cost. Freight was the easy bit to work out. Gotta sit down with the calculator and plans for the rest.
