My 85 SE is light grey, and I noticed it looks similar in shape to a delorean, and since i have seen Back to the Future III over a hundred times (it use to run continiously in a video projector demo room where I previously worked) I was thinking
wouldnt it be great to do a Back 2 da Future number on a grey/silver Fiero? Put the flux capacitor right there between the seats, the 'time controls' up on the dash (could be rigged as digtal dashboard - functional) and whatever other parts you felt like putting onthe outside/reardeck to make it look like the movie car.
that would sure turn heads!

As much as it would be cool to have an authentic BTF replica around, I've got a feeling if you put it on a fiero, all you would get are stares - of wondering what the hell that is, except for the hardcore fans who would spot all that didn't look right.

I still think gullwings would be possible on a Fiero... and if anyone who has an extra car with t-tops, in any condition (it's gonna get cut up a bit anyway), I'd be more than happy to donate some time and technical ability to work on this.. who knows, might even end up with a kit to sell...
(the gullwings, not the BTTF car. hehe.. it'd be cool, but not a big market for it I think)
Lemme see, I'll take a few parts from this side of the garage, a few from the other.... But in order to get that kind of power, we'd need to harness a bolt of lightning or something. Sorry, just gotta make an appearance anytime the Delorean's mentioned Steve Normington put it best! But try having a Delorean and Fiero in a town where Mustangs, Camaros and Monte Carlos (pitewy) rule, it's a rough life to live. later, Mike
1.21 gigawatts of electricity I need. Anyway, I think making the doors open like a diablo would be better than gullwing. first off because you would have to build a door frame around the window glass to support the upper hinge. Unless you want to hinge the window glass, then never roll it down. I talked to a guy that owns a custom shop that does suicide doors and stuff like that, he told me he could do them like diablo doors for 400 a side. Some company makes a kit for that kind of conversion. Hmmmmm.....

I've wanted a Delorean since I saw that movie, there's just no way I could afford to buy it.
I've bitten off more than enough to keep me busy building up my 85GT, the Delorean would keep me bankrupt for many years.
sigh I shoulda been born rich...

The delorian was an interesting car. i saw a guy being arested that was driving one. I'm not sure what he did, but they where towing his car and he was in the rear seat of a squad car.I think the doors would be possible on a Fiero, but i don't think they would look all that good, i don't know. I have seen Fiero's with the Lamborghini style doors, that looks Awsome!!!!
the guy that was arrested driving a Delorean... most likely cause he stole it!
they are rare enought that most people dont even take them out of the garage anymore, much less do anything that would warrent your arrest!
I noticed I am getting use to my frameless door windows really quickly, I almost put my face into the door wind frame on my wifes Saturn this weekend. Making gullwing doors out of the frameless fiero doors would be really cool, esp with the power windows - you could put the doors up then roll the power windows up and down and watch the doors extend and retract
BTW I also noticed if I close my door with the window half way down it makes an ungodly cluck! With the window all the way up or down it closes nicely. I guess I just shouldnt do that anymore. Anything that clunks that loud can be good for something in there.
