What was that black strip on the driver seat? It looks like some buttons/controls are on it. I heard of some 88s having adjustable side lumbar support for the seats, I've never seen a Fiero with one, or maybe they don't exist...

Thanks everyone, I am so excited to have this awesome car. I feel like I practically stole it at $3700.
Kelvin-that is the power lumbar seat, a very rare option on an 88 I am told. Apparently only 800 or so 88's had this option.
Now to start fixing up the minor stuff to make it perfect. What do you people think of the black rims? I was thinking about replacing them with 5 spoke stars, but then again I don't think I want to take away from the stock look.
The stereo also needs some major help, even though it has the factory sub option.
Great looking car, but then I'm a little prejudice. I have one that looks exactly like yours. Except unlike yours mine could use a paint job soon. How many miles on yours?

The paint is original and to my amazement looks incredible in person. There is not a single ding or dent on this car.
Before buying it I had it thoroughly ( I mean thoroughly-hour and a half) inspected by a non biased auto inspection company. The inspector said it had definitely never been in an accident and Carfax said the title was clean...
Boy and I thought I got a good deal on mine. I paid $4000 for mine and it has 81k on it. Mine didn't have the lumbar seats, in fact the 88 seats were replaced by 87 seats at some point. I only learned that after I owned it a few months. But I'm expecting 88 skins in the mail any day now. The body I feel is in excellent shape. The nose has a small area about the size of a dollar where it had bumped into something and it left lines in the paint.
