Just passing this on...

Hello Gang:
I discovered a company (Sunstar America) that makes 1/18 scale American model cars. Their website is: www.sunstartoys.com The company has an email address as well : uscic@aol.com

The president or CEO of the company's name is Sherman. My recent email to him regarding making a model of our beloved Fiero, got the response that: "we thought about making the GT late models but changed out minds. I do not know for sure the demand for them."

If everybody on our list emailed him like I have done and requested a model, we may get one as they make a model of the's "Corvair" and I am sure that there are many, many more Fiero owners that want a diecast model of their car.

So everybody, please bombard them with emails requesting they immediately consider making a 1/18 scale diecast model of the Fiero.

Thanks,
L.W.

I wrote them this letter:

Subj: Fiero Die Cast models
Date: 1/30/01 10:03:18 PM Eastern Standard Time
From: Dalelee22
To: USCIC@aol.com

Have you ever considered making a 1/24 or 1/18 scale die cast model of the Late, Great, Pontiac Fiero. I own three of these fine automobiles and I'm sure that the response you would recieve would be fabulous !!! I would prefer a rendition of the 87-88 Formula/coupe body style. Primarily because even the plastic model companys did not produce this body style.

This is a link to just one of very many online Fiero clubs on the net...Post something here about the possibility of a Fiero die cast and check the response.

We are at near 2000 members and growing !!!!!!!! Thanks, Dale

Sorry guys I had to plug for my favorite body style...lol

I did too! I had been thinking about contacting a diecast company myself, I am glad someone did THANKYOU!!!! If you want a model everyone on the forum should E mail them and tell them how many of these that they will sell! I think the general public would even buy a lot of these models even if they are not Fiero fans like us, just for the beautiful body style(GT)

I sent mail also...

Im a big 1/18 collector.. Ive got over 50 cars in my collection. I would LOVE to see a Fiero, I would buy qutie a few.

P.S. It took me 5 years to find someone that made a 87-93 1/18 Mustang. I wish there would have been a Mustang Fourm out there that could have helped me out ..

Good Work

one more. I also told them that since it seems that car owners usually own at least two or more cars, they will probably buy two or more models.
