If you're not familiar with what happened last year, please read this first..
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/004746.html

Just an update on this situation... the bank called yesterday, and this person's check has bounced.. it's been over 5 months now, you'd think they could manage to somehow pay me the lousy $45 (CDN) in this time period... there is NO reason why it should take this long. so to all of you who said you were glad this was resolved in december.. looks like it's not resolved yet after all.

p.s. I just realized that people might jump to conclusions since I've been asking about Fierodave recently.. that was about a totally different deal we have in the works.

Dark,
I think you have been more than patient with whoever it is. Time to put the cards on the table.

No, his email address isn't listed on the website anymore so I sent it to the only address that was listed.. and I apologize, as that person wasn't involved in the deal..

I've emailed the person one more time, I sincerely hope this can be resolved once and for all..
No matter what angle I think about this from, I just can't think of any reason to not be able to send the money, or at least give a valid reason not to, in the 5 months since this deal took place.

I'm not trying to cause trouble, nor be unfair to this person.. yet part of me thinks I would be doing both, if I went public and told everyone the full story. If anyone thinks I'm out of line, please let me know.. I've made a few goof ups as well, but I'm just a college student who runs a very small business in my spare time.. At the moment I DO owe stuff to 2 forum members. I owe 87EC05 $12.00, and I owe DXR_DAD a pair of quarter panel scoops. I haven't forgotten, and I'm sure they haven't either. At the moment, all my financial matters are being handled by my parents, and I'm not at home with access to my tools and workshop so the 1/4 scoops aren't ready.

Scott, I'm basically broke, but I don't think this is gonna financially ruin me, and I hate owing people money any longer than I have to. I'll ask my mom to buy and send a money order for me on monday. can you email me your postal address again?

DXR_DAD, no word on the scoops yet.. I need to buy myself a new dremel tool first.. probably a jigsaw too. depends what it takes to cut enduraflex cleanly.

As you know Steve it's no problem with me! We talk to each other often, so I'm sure you know that we have a understanding.

But as for this other guy!!!......well you know what I have to say about it. Your a nice guy for not saying who it is on the forum...BUT, 5 months????.

There are lots of others that would like to know who he is. Just to protect others from doing business with him! if thats how he does business.

I said it in your last "Burned" post I do not get into these type topics and flame wars but this is a little much!!!!!!

I got an email from this person saying it was a bank error, and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and just wait for a new check or (hopefully) money order to arrive...

87EC05, I've asked my mom to get the money order, and she's going to mail it on monday afternoon.

DXR_DAD, yeah.. I just wanted to mention that I haven't forgotten about it. the panels are still in the box. As soon as I get some time to work on them (my basement is a mess... maybe it'll be warm enough on spring break to sit outside and work on them) I'll get them cleaned up, sanded, and do the fiberglass work.

I've been through this kind of thing myself. It's been my experience that the person is either unable or unwilling to pay.No matter what you do or say there will be a story putting you off and buying more time.Good luck

Unfortunately all my tools need to be electric because I don't have an air compressor etc.
eventually I'd like to get an sir setup though, but I need a garage first.

Steve If was a bank error? Can't you just re-deposit it in your acount? Why should you have to wait for another check? And I would hope that it's a MO and they send it overnight express, next day, sameday, something. send it western union?? I would think they would want to sonething to fix this problem FAST!

About the check, apparently I can't do that.. and as for the other idea, I don't live near a Western Union office.

I agree that he probably would want to take care of this ASAP, but after 5 months.. what's another few days?
