Hey,
I just finished paying off some debts (I use that term loosely... I'm only 15 ) so I have a good deal of extra cash coming in (about $400 saved up right now). I was examining my options and I think a radar detector is a really nice way to blow it .

Some questions here

1) What's the top of the line radar detector? I heard some talk of a Valentine (or something like that?)

2) Does anyone have a link to the Valentine (sp) detectors for on line ordering?

3) how much do really good detectors run?

4) Does it only pick up a radar when it's on you, or when it's in the general area?

Thanks,
Josh

I'll make it related.
I'd try to find a cheap fiero or by fiero parts if you allready have one.
or you can donate it to the Carolina fiero association.

i feel radar detectors are not a good investment unless you just have horrible luck and get pulled over often.

you want the top of the line? best on the market? then take my advice... http://www.k40.com

k 40 is the best detector manufactuar out there! they don't advertise as much as the other guys, and they don't get tested in magazines, like the other guys.

reason being, their main products are installed "hidden" units. i installed one aa month after i bought my GT, and loved it.

these things work, and they stand behind their product!

also, they used to recalibrate them for you (like a $50 charge), whenever you want. i would send mine off ever couple of years and it came back with a different serial number on it... know what i mean? new receiver.

good luck!

go for the escort radar detector. You don;t need any more than that. And you will still have money left to burn on upgrades for your fiero
