I really liked the look of it too but when I inquired as to how well it actually illuminates the road at night, I received some less than positive responses.

If this is not the case, please enlighten me. I also like the idea for reasons of never having to deal with another bloody headlight motor issue ever again!!

I was under the impression that Toms' kit came with covers but it seems like someone said that it didn't. Does it or doesn't it? I like the look, but I probably won't get a kit without a cover.

You can get his kit with or without the covers....As for lighting its not bad at all....Remeber though, they are fog lights.. I replaced my bulbs with 100w hyper white highs and 65w hyper white lows...works great once you get them aimed right....

Loki, I believe you might be mistaken. Tom's light kit doesn't have covers (YET) It's something he is still working on. I also believe that those are standard 55W Halogen lights not fog lights. IRM or RSM, I can't remember which, also made a similar kit with lexon covers. There is a question about light refraction with the covers. There is also another kit that uses the oval fog lights that some have raised questions of legality about. Either way, I like Tom's kit and will be buying one in the near future. Monk, what is the issue with the covers? just courious.

Real easy to install....Take all the headlight assembly out....bolt it and plug in wires...

I like the looks of the covers. Somehow, it just doesn't look complete without them.
