Does anyone know where to find the scoops that sit on the engine louvers and go up over the roof?

I have only seen them once

If these are what your looking for I.R.M. use to sell them. I'm not sure who sells them now.

I prefer the Indy style scoop like this:

I think there is a thread on these in the tech area titled "notchback scoops" go back about 3-4 days to read it or do a search for it.

Nice photos, Orief.

Question: Would having the vista vent open defeat the function of the scoop? I mean, it seems like having the roof popped up would act like an air dam, thus pushing the airflow up and over the scoop instead of into it.

Just wondering ...

I got my Indy scoop from IRM. It was $200. I made it fully functional.
As for with the sunroof open I set the height of the scoop so that the air passing over the sunroof still gets into the scoop.

(Just got a digital camera for my B-day, Can ya tell?)

Had the ones in the first picture on my first Fiero 5 years ago. Got them from the Fiero Store but I don't think they have them anymore. Painted them black and they did look sharp...but the ol'tech issue of the Fieros air flow should be considered.

Oreif, Can you take a few more picts of your scoop? I would like to see the scoop from different angles on your car. Is it difficult to look out the back window? How do you lift the back deck lid? Thanks

Here are some more pics. I tried to take a view out the back from the rear view mirror but it's hard to see. I'll have to do it on an outdoors shot. The view is only blocked in the middle. I have to take the scoop off to open the decklid. It uses 4 stainless steel hex bolts. Takes about 2 minutes to remove it. As soon as I find someone to bend an aluminum tube I plan on ducting the air into the engine.

Now that it appears we are no longer able to get parts, (easily), From IRM, Does anyone know of a source for the Indy center scoop? Does Focca have them? Are we all screwed now if we would like to have this scoop?

FOCOA use to sell them also. I think they wanted $325 for it (if you were not a member) and they had it set up as a functional scoop with a screen. I went to their website and they don't list parts anymore. So If someone is a member could you check and see if they are still available from them? The IRM scoop was originally designed by Diversified Glass. They also designed the IMSA body. IRM bought all the molds when DG went out of business. So I don't would have one.

Here's a link that might have some. They don't list prices and they call it an SD4 scoop. www.showcars-bodyparts.com/fiero.html

Oreif--Do you think there would be any way to snug that up against the rear window any farther? I'm not too concerned about functionality. I'd want one more for the looks, but it just doesn't look 100% with the gap. Clue me in.
