Since we're all on the street racing kick, thought I'd present a few pictures of what happens when you go too fast in your fiero.

Before you view, IT IS GRAPHIC.

As much as I love fieros, I DID NOT recognize this as a fiero when the yardman took me to it. My first impression was Oh My G*^

I actually measured the wheel distance. thats 2' you're looking at between the tires.

This guy, a preachers son, hit a pick-up truck head on, and died instantly. When ambulance crews arrived, he was still in the car. The steering wheel was broken off completely. You can just imagine, how broken-up his body was. Look at the footwell, is there room enough for your legs to fit?

I know the above info because the person I work with is a paramedic with the volunteer crew that responded.

Even if you wear your seatbelt, do you really think you would surive this? Would you want to survive?

This pic sends chills through me, and I pray it makes EVERYONE think.

Dude, I know what you mean so much!

I used to be a little speed demon. When I got Fiero I zipped up and down and raced occasionally. Then one night I was sitting up in my bed and realized...OMIGOD, I could DIE. Now I drive the speed limit EVERYWHERE and I stay in the slower lanes on the freeway.

Really, I am 18, where do I need to be so fast?

If you speed the only place you are going to speeding to is an early grave! Really, look at those pics closely! They don't call Fiero's "plastic death traps" for nothing! Even light hits will take the car out. And I'm not ready for my car to leave me! Or me to leave my car!

I know I am a good driver now and a safe one, I just worry about the other drivers, like the boy in those pics.

First a moment of silence for the young man.
-------------------------------------

Homicidal, I want you to live to be 81 at least, so I would hate to take that fear of God out of you when it comes to Fiero safety. But in the interest of truth, they are no more "plastc death traps" then the Saturn automobiles, as they use the same steel safety cage construction. Now this particlar story involved a head-on accident, probably at considerable speed. It was not a light hit that took this car out. It was wreckless and dangerous driving. Somehow one of the vehicles involved wound up in the same lane as the other traveling in a different direction. There is no passenger vehicle made short of a Bradley fighting vehicle that can take this type of a hit and still be able to hopscotch away.
You drive a safe car, it's up to you to be a safe driver.

Monkeyman, Thats the car your wiring harness came from. Now you know why/how it was cut in places.

When I was inside the car removing parts it made me feel "uneasy" to be in it that car.
