Ok, since I wasn't able to go to Modesto, CA this last weekend, I was able to get the old "Cheese" back on the road.

Here's some shots of the 86SE V6 that all stock except for a cam, ground exhaust and radio. Engine now has 20 miles on fresh rebuild and the new clutch rocks.

I found the red cap and red wires, but couldn't get my hands on a red coil (at the moment). Notice the red/orange air filter housing. You cannot see them but both the alternator and A/C brackets are painted as well.

Looks great. But I'm curious - why the "Swiss Cheese" nickname? Your Fiero obviously isn't full of holes...

ChadMan, the "Swiss Cheese" name came from when I first bought it. I paid $750 for it cause the kid couldn't get it smogged here in California because it would overheat on the dyno. When I looked at it the block was nearly bone dry and we filled it up before I took it home. Once in my driveway it had an obvious leak. Well, that was just the beginning. I would replace one hose and another would start leaking, and so on. Well, I got it to where I thought it would hold water and took it to get smogged. While on the dyno the radiator blew a hole. After that was replaced, the heater core went.

Needless to say that every coolant and heater hose in the entire car has been replaced. I guess now it could just be called the "Cheese".
