This model is a replica of my first Fiero - details are right except for the wheels (mine had 13" steel - ugh). I had to fill in the sunroof with plastic and putty.
I will probably again never spend this much time on a Fiero I can't drive. This model has shifter cables, brake lines, throttle cable, plug wires, and a PCV tube. Sorry this will take a while to load.
This was my semi-weak attempt at creating an IMSA GTU Fiero. That's supposed to be an Super Duty 4-banger - it has Webers and a valve-cover breather, but if you look closely, you'll see that's the stock exhaust manifold (lazy me).
I added a dash and roll cage from an old NASCAR model I had lying around. The real IMSA GTU Fieros used stock shifter and steering wheel, so I kept those.
Great work on the kits Chad. You have some real talent for working on those kits, I really liked the 87 GT as it is a dead ringer for my car. Also, for the rest of the list, I'm getting my Dad to see if he can track down some of the older Fiero kits for order. He owns his own hobby shop, so he'll be able to give us a good deal if he can find them. Chad, any chance you still have the boxes with the numbers for kits? This might make it a bit easier for the old man him to find.
Those are beautiful. Your user name should be Franklin (Franklin Mint). I love the IMSA GTU although you say that you were lazy in the use of the factory exhaust. There is something about those fender flares. I noticed that your model has a different wing than I have seen on the racers. Was this an option that I hadn't seen. I really like it even though I am a huge fan of the original too. It makes the whole think look a little more modern.
loafer, here are the model #'s of all the Fiero kits that were made (to my knowledge): 1-0883 1/25 scale 1984 Coupe by MPC 1-0715 1/25 scale 1985/6 Coupe by MPC 6401 1/25 scale 1986 GT by MPC 6227 1/25 scale 1987 GT by MPC 2242 1/24 scale 1985 GT by Monogram
William, good eye! That's an aftermarket spoiler from an old 1984 Corvette model. The wing that came with the model was totally inaccurate, whereas mine is only sorta inaccurate.
I am disappointed that I didn't pick up that it was from a vette. Now that you mention it, it looks like some aftermarket Vette spoilers. So which of the models is for the IMSA? Anyone have an extra?

As a veteran model maker, albeit mostly jet fighters, I applaud you on your spectacular attention to lifelike detail! Those plug wires are simply amazing. I have an 85 GT that is still in the box that I would hope would have HALF of the detail that you have put into your coupe. Great job!
Thanks, WKD! As a gag, I even mounted a fire extinguisher on the firewall behind the driver's seat - just like my real car.
But somehow, I forgot to install the rearview mirror - and didn't realize it until I had glued the interior pan into the body. Oh well, pobody's nerfect.
