Man im telling you all right now this sticker stuff is getting outa hand here in New Mexico. I was going down the local strip when I saw a 98' Ford mustang with a Big white windshield sticker with japan-eezz writting on in. I thought to myself what a dumb*** ... And almost all the import cars here have these stickers also.Even if the car looks like crap. I was gonna put a BIG sticker saying "Made in AMERICA" or "No Jap Crap" lol even though I do drive a import lol. Man ill start stopping these people on the strip and start taking pics to post here.

heres the current ratings for the stickers: powered by honda:15 hp. misc japanese writing:10-20 hp. any unheard of racing team:17 hp. thundering horsepower: 5hp. big name sponsors (i.e. konie, etc..): 10hp
a sticker covered car could conceivably set a world speed record!
i think it only works on jap crap, because they are skilled in the arts of mind over crapwagon.

Maybe it's just me but I highly doubt that people put stickers on their car's because they think it adds horsepower. Anywayz, since were on the subject of stickers, my dad and I just got back from the store and we saw a Chrysler Sebring with a big A$$ identity crisis. It had a "TRD" sticker on the back window, which stands for Toyota Racing Developement and a bunch of DOHC V-TECH stickers on the side. Also it had a bunch of other stickers randomly placed on the car.

that site is hilarious.. there are a few cars like that around here, such as a red Honda CRX that's so low it's almost scraping the ground, a 4" exhaist, tinted windows, etc.. but that's not as bad as some of the domestic cars I've seen.. one was a Corsica.. bright purple, with pink trim.. super dark tinted windows, big tires/wheels, a thumping stereo (nothing wrong with that however, I like bass!) and steret stickers slapped all over the car... looked ridiculous.. Speaking of stickers, I don't think 140hp is enough. I'm gonna go put some "powered by ford" stickers all over my mom's taurus, that ought to be good for another 20hp at least.. or does this strange effect only work on import cars?
whoops.. in my above message.. "steret stickers" was supposed to be stereo stickers!
(I don't think I'd put big stereo stickers on a car tho.. unless I had an equally big alarm stereo next to it.. without an alarm, stereo stickers are just advertising... )
Today I was in a performance muffler shop. As I pulled in, 3 kids about 16 or 17 years old got out of a Mazda 4 door something on it's way to becoming "pimped" AKA, ****. I was there talking to the guy building the pipes for my turbo. Inside the lobby they have an assortment of exhaust tips on display. In the mess of tips there was a 5" (I think 5") tip like all the imports are running. They picked it up and were making stupid noises through it. They were saying it's the biggest they have seen. I told the kid "There must be 50 horsepower in that thing." He said "Yup." I just kinda laughed at him.

Before my current car, 86/ SE 2m6, I had a 1987 mazda 626 sedan w/2.0 l engine. it was my toy. i had free flowing exhaust and a turbo installed by ME. it was a fun car, and a sleeper. the only stickers i had were band affiliated ones, and a little sticker that said "this car certified: crappy" it had a 2 inch exhaust tip (wow, ain't that big) and was silent as a whisper, except for turbo whine. i used to pick on "rice rocket" hondas and stuff... (eventually, some guy going 60 in a 35 zone parked his GMC Jimmy in my trunk, i don't have the car now) stickers aren't necessary for a good car. and, if there are enough, it only adds weight, and maybe drag too.
Rice-boys page is exactly what im seeing here. Why paint your car when you can cover it up with stickers. I have 4 inch outlet pipes though. But I was one of the first ones to have them in town so I wouldnt qualify as a white-rice-boy. People are even starting to stick big stickers over the rear top of the window now. Im getting sick now thinking of all the stickers. And these people are probably gonna peel off there paint on there car when they try to get rid of the trashy stickers..
"Powered by Honda" stickers are dumb, and "VTEC" stickers on a base Civic are dumber. But the dumbest sticker of all is "My child is an HONOR STUDENT at Podunk Elementary School."

On the way home from work yesterday I saw a late model Cavalier with "Cavalier" and a Chevy Bowtie diagonally across the hood and the trunk. Chevrolet was written across the windshield.
Its official, this phenomenon does not just apply to the Japanese Cars anymore.
The next sticker we will see is "Performance by 3M" or "3M Speed Shops"

Fortunately we don't see too many of those rice-boy cars here in Holland. What we do see a lot is lowered black VW Rabbits with black tinted windows, and 16" wheels (which look rediculous because they are way to big for the car). These cars can be heared from great distance because of the "boom, boom, boom, boom" sound coming from inside (can anyone say "deaf before they reach 20"?).
I always pull up next to them and give them the thumbs up. Then they take a look at my car and they know I'm just kidding!
