I'm replacing my A/C compressor and ordered modern switches. The guy sent two high pressure cutoff switches, Santech MT0678. The replacement he sent for the low switch I should have received came without a package.

It says:
2268
ATT
(center hole of the switch here)
6561543

One of the Santech switches is marked ATT 6559741 so I know it isn't the same, but I want to make sure it's going to work and protect my new A/C system that I'm working so hard on.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Doing a google search for 6559741 says:

Replacement for V5(blue)

OFF:29.8kg/cm2
ON:14.7kg/cm2

in English that's off at 425 and 210 on. Doesn't say if it's normally open or closed. If you measure continuity across the terminals and there is continuity, then it should be a match for the high-pressure cut-off switch.

Not seeing anything on the other one. I wouldn't risk it considering the effort involved in replacing them, and the relatively low cost of buying them.

That's what I thought as well. Seeing as it's on an online auction site, I can probably get my money back fairly easily if he can't show me specs anywhere. Oh, and I just noticed that the plugs he sent have the wrong clocking as well! (FYI for newbies, HPCO and LPCO switches are keyed at different clocking so it isn't possible to transpose the plugs).

And for the sake of documentation, this ATT # 6559741 is open (no continuity).

Then it's either bad or the wrong one. I'd send them both back.
