I'm putting a 1997 3800SC with electronic 4 sp Automatic trans (out of a 1997 Buick Riviera) into my 85 Fiero. What Transmission is this ?? thanks

Depends if you put a fiero axle in the one side and if it turns the other side and is a tight fit it will be th Hd...If its sloppy and wont turn its a non HD..

Good to know. thanks. was looking at shift improver kits and there are so many different trans. good info on whether or not it's HD.

Basically 97 and newer 3800SC got the 4T65E HD and 98 and newer 3800N/A got the 4T65E non HD. Dan

I put on another post, the TAG: there is # 7 the large BM below it. To the left of that, top to bottom 617bmr, then 2-3 letters "scratched off" then npf. On top of the tag is 120 "STAMPED" into the tag.
