I am new to the 3800 and I didnt get a lot of info from PO. When doing an oil change how much oil does the 3800SC take?

4.5 quarts. Buy 5 and fill it until the dipstick reads right below the full mark. Thats what I do when I change my GP's oil.

4.5 but use 5 quarts....This is what I have done in my 3800 swap and every other one I have done....

I don't put less than 5.5 qts. I lost an engine circle track racing. I noticed when it has 4.5 qts and I do hard left turns for more than 5 seconds the oil pressure would fall right to zero.
The extra quart solved the problem.
