This past weekend, I changed the O-Ring on the distributor of my '88 Formula 2.8. First time I took it out for a drive after the O-Ring change, I got a Code 32. I don't see anything obviously disturbed, broken, or loose as a result of pulling the distributor and putting it back in. I haven't driven it much but I have seen the SES light come on and go off again in normal city traffic.
What do you guys and gals think? Coincidence or not?

Code 32 is an EGR code; check to see if you didn't knock loose the vacuum line that goes to the EGR while you were removing the distributor.

Yeah, I knew it was EGR-related. I stopped the Code 32 months ago by repairing a broken coil wire in the EGR Solenoid. I've looked again and don't see anything obvious. After the distributor O-Ring change I gave the engine a good bath with degreaser and wash with the garden hose. Maybe water got in somewhere it shouldn't. When I repaired the solenoid, I sealed everything up really well with Goop.

The Code 32 is different than before. Now it comes and goes every few minutes in city traffic - stop & go in a 45 MPH zones.
