86 gt V6 4 speed

Once every couple of months, i'll be driving, or starting my car, and my idle will spike to 2500k( roughly) and stay there. It will then after a minute or so throw those codes. If i drive it for a bit, or leave it off for a bit the issue is gone, and will not happen again for another couple of months. I have tested the egr tube in the past, and it seemed ok.

Just looking for other ideas.

You are momentarily losing the signal from the Vehicle Speed Sensor. It goes from the transmission to the speedometer and then to the ECM. There are a number of connectors along that route, and I suspect that one of them is loose or has some corrosion in it.

edit: I don't think the high idle is part of this issue, but a code 24/35 would be.
