Two questions for 3800 SC owners: How are the spark plug wires routed around your engines? Pictures would be helpful and appreciated. Second question: how is the PCM mounted in your cars? Mine is located in the stock location under the center console, but it is just laying there and not secured. I'd like to have it securely mounted so it doesn't bounce around.

Where r ur coils mounted? If mounted in the battery tray area then I like to use MSD cut to length wires. I rouye the wires on the trunkside low and along the way where they r out of site. The rear bank I route coming up and then under the hindge. If u have not moved the battery up front I suggest doing so then place ir coils on the battery tray.

My PCM is in the same location also. I do not have it strapped down in any form being once the center console is on the PCM can not move. But to secure it down u can take a heavy gauge with with eyelet fittings attached then use self tapping screws to hold it in place.

I found a computer holder from a 2002 S-10. I cut off the mounting tabs and just screwed it through into the existing tinerman clips.

I mounted it so the plugs are facing down like the old one.

I cut the back of the console out instead.

I decided it would just be easier to cut the back of the console out. It helps keep it cooler too. I removed the steel rod from the mounting tray also. The tray holds the computer just fine with out it. The green tape is only temporary holding the bundles together. I dressed the wire harness after i was done wiring.

I put the data link connector in the stock location. That was a booger taking the firewall feed through apart so I could run the harness through it.

I mounted my coils vertically on the passenger strut tower, battery is in original location... I just ran the wires against the trunk wall and firewall with zip ties... Can even see them.

The battery is in the stock location. The coils are mounted on the firewall/bulkhead/passenger compartment wall (whatever you prefer to call it). The wires on the front cylinders (closest to the passenger compartment) are in a good location. For the rear cylinders the spark plug wires are routed underneath the engine under the oil pan and then up to the spark plugs. I bought it this way. Not sure how others have theirs routed, but the way they are located for my car seems strange.

That looks pretty slick. I may give that a try and will need to rememer to look for one of the mounts next time I'm in a bone yard.

I mounted my coils on the front side of the transmission. I have the plug wires for the rear bank wrapped around the left side of the trans and down low. You can't see much of them.
