While chasing down suspension rattles I notice that my rear sway bar is not tight. The spacer between the bar an body slides up/down the bolt (causing a rattle). It also looks like the bolt is not factory, and too long. Something is not right and search only has one sway bar result. Any good threads with specs and pics ? I am thinking there should also be some type of rubber bushing/washer between parts.
Thanks in advance.

EDIT
sway bar with a capital "S" brings lot's of results.

Hmm, looks like I need new bushings. Can they be found at the auto stores here in town/are they generic, or are they available from the dealer, or perhaps the Fiero Store or Rodney Dickman ?

you can get just the bushings at the autopart store--they are poly---rodney has really neat looking zero lash bars--if you decide to replace the whole bar, bring the part with you--the 88 end links are different from the other years--chances are if you have to do the back you have to do the fronts too--those are longer than what their parts catalog says--if you go with rodney he knows what you need

Actually the rear bar brackets are a bit smaller than the generic one you may find.
It is possible to redrill the holes to make them fit.
Modified a rear bar last year with adjustable/slotted ends for a set of rod end bearing end links and changed out the
bushings to poly. Had a set of brackets/bushings and had to do the drill thing to mount them.
