I was bored and started searching superchargers for GM 60 degree V6 superchargers. I stumbled upon the Eaton M62 used on supercharged cobalts and that Magnuson once made a kit for the 3400 series V6's. I was just curious if anyone has ever attempted to put one on a 2.8, 3.1, or 3.4 and if it would even be worth while to do so. The M90 is larger and easier to aquire so that would probably be the better choice if this was even possible. Seems like a cool idea and completely different but seems like it would definetly require a lot of fabrication. Any thoughts?
They fly around the Grand Am boards from time to time... rather rare and people think they are sitting on gold. They do work though. Although... they don't flow for much better than 220HP...

Thanks for the info. Is there a way to use a M90 instead of the M62 or is it to big to fit? Also, is there anything else the M62 used on other than Cobalts?

The space between the heads on the 60 degree V6 is too narrow to fit the blower and injectors. Moving it higher then puts it through the deck lid (and complicates things a whole lot more). As I said, there's several threads where people had started a project like this - but then never finished...
It's less problematic to install a complete S/C 3800 than to start from scratch to do the same thing on a 2.8 (for a poorer result in the end).

i was talking about mounting it in the way that the M62 was mounted.
