I was surfing the internet a few weeks ago looking for someone who would professionally port and polish the stock 2.8 liter intake and found a company that sold the units for around 300 bucks ported as long as you sent in your old one as a core.
Being a fool, I didn't bookmark the page and now I can't for the life of me find the people.
So anybody know anyone else I can buy the ported plenum and intake manifolds from?
I'm in the process to start on a 3.4 L32 build to drop into my 85 Sport and I'm one of those guys that likes to get everything I need beforehand so I don't have to wait for parts once I get started.
I understand there's other BETTER intakes, but I want to keep this looking as close to a stock V6 just because.
Thanks for any help.

I had to dig up this link on a bored throttle body that I stored a long time ago. I don't know if he still does them and I never bought one. It was just something I bookmarked. http://throttlebodys.com/FieroTBs.htm
you might get lucky and it be in your history.. on ei in the address bar there is an arrow pointing down click it. it'll list your history.. of where you've been.. maybe you'll get lucky

Mulletproofmunk is correct Steve is still doing them , been in contact with him the last few days. I have a fellow near me doing Dawgs plenum mod soon. Will post pics of how it turns out.

The "polish" is a waste of time/money. the porting is a good thing. the bigger engine is a better thing. I powder coated the intake and valve covers on my 350 so it would look "stock"
their is NO replacement for displacement.

I had Steve Monroe do a bored throttle body for my 3.4L swap. He even plugged the coolant lines and had the body refinished. I never had to do any adjustments - it was plug and play. Turnaround was only a few days, and he kept me posted by email of every step along the way. I couldn't be happier.

I dug through that before I posted here but I think I found it on my other laptop which decided to die recently.
Either way, I've got a lot of other work to do on my 4 cyl before I get around to upgrading the V6 on my GT.
I was able to achieve 187 RWHP thru the Fiero intake this way. If I had also done the DAWG mod, I probably could have gone over 190 RWHP thru the Fiero intake...
Any machine shop can cut/plane the intake like I did. You also need shorter intake bolts or have the stock ones threaded further to bolt the upper and middle together. The cutting allowed polishing deeper into the upper intake.
Polishing is not a waste of time when your intake is a restriction. Turbulence is created by the sheer velocity/vaccuum of the 3.4 over the 2.8 and since the intake is generally undersized, leaving any rough inner surfaces is a loss in performance.
