I'll be removing the entire rear coilovers from an '88, will these bolt directly into an 84-87 ?

If you mean rears you will need to change the top pieces that have the three studs. the 88 hole pattern is different than the other years. everything else would be the same, the struts are interchangeable for all years.

Yea,
The fronts will not work. I built a set of coil-overs for my 88 and a few others and they couldn't be any more different that an early car.

88 STRENGTH SPRING RATES ARE TOO SOFT ON A EARLY CAR
esp in the rear with stock early bits
so the car will lean and wallow too much
a very non sporting mod

grab the whole real cradle and everything
then the 88 springs will work with 88 arms and cradle
that is a good mod well worth doing

you just need a top of the strut mount adapter plate
and the whole 88 setup bolts in
