I dont have a check engine light anymore when the ignition is turned, I don't have a spark (I believe I had one before) and I cant hear my fuel pump priming.
This was all after CTire sold me a IAC for a Grand Prix instead of one for the Northstar. Before the install of the Grand Prix IAC everything was working but the IAC itself (making odd ticking noises when keys were turned).
Once I installed the Grand Prix IAC I turned the engine over twice, after the second turn everything died. I realized quickly that it was a result of the IAC, changed back to the old IAC. The problem has not been solved and I've been going at this since 10 last night. I've check all the wiring, insured everything is plugged properly.
Wondering what are the chance that I fried my PCM? If not, what could I do to fix my problem.
Double check all fuses and make sure you have +12 volts battery power on PCM C1 pin 20 and +12 volts ignition on pin 19 of the same connector to start with. Dan

So if you have no spark, you have a problem that is not PCM related. On the 8 pin ICM harness to Engine harness do you have power on the pink wire key on? You should.

I`ll check both.
@phonedawgz : Isnt the ICM supported by the PCM?

The ICM receives power directly on the pink wire. With just the crank pick up it will produce spark. The PCM has the ability to take over the spark advance of the ICM, but it is not needed for spark.

Ok thanks! Got power to the PCM. The fuse didnt seem, visually, dead; when I test it there was no current. Replaced it, all is well. Going to test if I still have a spark now.
As well, where is the vacuum connection to the transmission on the 282 Getrag or do only automatics have vacuum?

Ok so I double check all the fuses, theyre all good and I was good for the +12 volts on pin 20 and 19 on C1. Still no spark, not sure what to check next?
