restoring many different parts of car--my t-top trim--the front and back trim pieces and the side covers on the glass--the black is faded (or gone)--I cant remember when I got the vehicle if they were semi-gloss black or glossy--the pics on the t-top registry site look semi-gloss----what level of gloss would these be, and the engine vents too?

The engine grilles (and outside mirrors) were painted satin black. The plastic T-Top trim was not painted, but was probably close to satin or semi-gloss in appearance. The metal parts (front header trim, center "bar", frame & glass) are closer to semi-gloss than full gloss, but you can do with it as you please. I've seen cars where all the T-Top stuff was painted glossy black and it looked good. If you are going for a factory look then a satin or semi-gloss will be closer to what you 're looking for.

Satin has near zero reflection where semi-gloss has a little...

Gloss goes from flat, like primer, to satin, to semi, to full gloss.
After you get gloss, then there is clear coat, which is very shiny!
Then, if you mix your own paint, then you can add the flattener in whatever ratio you want...
