What would be the best/safest way to do a hydraulic rear brake setup? A cable brake isn't consistent enough and may snap with repeated use. I'd also like a handle near the shifter.

How would I plumb something like that into the brake circuit?
I would like to keep the mechanical e-brake functionality if possible, so I have a parking brake.

I'm thinking a great place to mount it would be to the right of the stock shifter, kind of where the ash trays are.

I'm also worried about compromising the existing brake operation when I drive the car on the street between events.
And maybe some sort of locking/safety mechanism, so people don't accidently trigger the e-brake when the drive my car.

Thank you, that's a great start.

Are there any threads about how the Rally Fiero was put together?

Forgive my ignorance, but is this essentially a hand instead of pedal brake system or more like a hydraulic ebrake? Is there a slave cylinder at the other end or is it connected to the primary calipers? Could this be used in place of the problematic parking brake cables?

I think...

parking brake won't care and isn't an issue.

level is inactive then system acts normally.
level is pulled, a seal/valve will close to MC and force all pressure to rears.

Plumbing is splice into rear circuit. MC goes to the front, rear circuit to rear/top output, like clutch Type 2 MC.

Mount? any can take the load and not bent/break.

Lock-out? depend on the unit. Very good idea to make lock-out obvious to normal drivers and cops.

Bleeding? Loosen the rear outlet until air is removed then bleed as normal.

No, Will Not be good as parking brake. Same problem as Line Lock. See https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F.../HTML/123707.html#p3

Cool, thank you!
Time to measure and see which models would fit, and where.

I shouldn't have any issues with the stock system being boosted, right?
