Replacing my door lock need help with orientation of the arm by zkhennings

I did the passenger side a long time ago and got lazy so I didnt do the drivers side. Now Im doing the drivers side and I have the old core out and I thought the arm that attaches to it was symmetrical and it is not. The like crescent hole that goes on the lock is not horizontal it is angled like 30 degrees so either the door has a bias in the locked or unlocked direction and I just need to know which.

Also any tips on removing the door skin? its manual windows and no power locks. Thanks guys

On the skin guessing you mean outside.? There are some post with detailed instructions.
Outside basically remove the 6 plastic head screws, three front and rear. Remove plastic rivets along bottom of door.
Remove beltline to get to couple screws under the belt. Very carefull to not beak clips. After pulling the inside panel remove the outside mirror.
Tip skin out and disconnect door handle linkage.
Think that is about it.
