Ok so everyone knows I was stranded in nc for the past 4 days while I had to replace my intake gasket. Just spent around 700 on that. Now, as I pulled into my new town, I found my gas pedal beginning to stick and not come back from the floor. As it revved up like crazy I shut it off and checked my throttle body cable. Throttle body moves fine, but the cable does not retract. I can't afford to spend any more, and I had to pull it in at carolina speed shop because I pulled over and almost got the cops called on me by a crazy woman.... Is there anyone who could help me do this? Or help me get the parts. I'm in dire need.

Too far away to help but it shouldnt be hard to find the problem.

Will the pedal PULL back up? If so, then it should be the cable that sticking. If not, then its the pedal.

I just looked at mine and there isnt much that can cause the pedal to stick. There is a PIN in the horizonal section that could be going too far and jamming. In that case, you should be able to snatch the pedal back up. Maybe it slid off to one side? Should be able to see it and the slot it rides in.

If its the cable, I would WD the snot out of it at the engine and let it run through the cable housing and work it around a bit.

Pedal can be pulled. When I twist throttle body with car off, the cable does not retract

Sound like Cable is getting too close to the exhaust then will melt the cable cover.
Only thing is to get another cable...

I'm in charlotte, wish I knew ahead of time, could have helped ya out, and save a lot of that 700 bucks. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare v6 throttle cable. Where is the car located?
