Looks to me like a turn signal flasher, but I can't find it in my manual, and have no idea why it would be clipped to the top of my clutch pedal.

It's the turn signal flasher. It's supposed to the left hand steering column bracket.

I guess that's possible, but seems like a strange spot considering that there's not a lot of room there to begin with, and it doesn't take much for my big feet to kick it off the little 'C' clip and leave it swinging there for me to step on and rip the wires off

I'm thinking it doesn't really belong there and the PO just hung it there because they didn't know where it belonged? Anybody know where the proper spot for this is? Manual say 'Outside of LH steering column bracket', but I can't visualize where this is
