The weather is getting nice out here in New England so I am looking to purchase some tires for my STILL new rims (been in the box since last spring). I have 17x7.5 (offset: 42) for the front and 18x8.5 (offset: 35). My first question is are these rims going to cause issues on a stock 88 GT suspension? And secondly what tires in terms of dimensions should I go with for that aggressive stance and that will give me good handling? I'm looking to buy the tires this week so any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the fronts on yet, even without tires?? I am looking at a 17x8 et45 for my fronts right now for my 88.

I had 16"X8" rims all around on one of mine with no problems . You have to be more carefull with tire size choice. I had 225/60s on mine.

Godsend I havent even taken them out of the box yet lol. I will probably try fitting them this week so ill take some pics and post them. And I just want that nice aggressive look as for as the tire rim combo goes. I was thinking about 245 for the back if possible but I dont know if that will rub

sounds good.. if you can just throw one of the front ones on sans tire and maybe put a level/meter stick/yard stick/straight edge upto it and past the upper fender just to get an idea of the overhang that would be great.
