True but with Rodney's 185 fan switch it's nearly perfect and still goes into closed loop. We just replaced the stat (was bad, never warmed up) with a new 180 it's perfect even in cold weather. 900 rpm too.

With that temperature fan switch , is the radiator fan running quite often?

Right now im stuck on the debate in my head on which fan switch to choose 195-185 , or 210- 200 such a small temperature difference , but 195-185 is so close to my thermostat temperature. But the oil temperature being lower is always a plus I guess more efficient fan would be the way to go and just keep it cooler...

I would not expect any noticable power gains with the slightly cooler temperature , but better protected electronics , hoses and wires from the heat is also another plus besides the oil temperature. Cooler might reduce my nox emissions some more maybe?

210- 200 is the better one to get.
if you were going with a 160 degree thermostat the 195-185 switch would be better.

I have a 180 thermostat and 210-200 fan switch from rodney on my 3.4L swap. great combo!!!
