I'm looking at buying a fiero. These are some of the things I know about it. I tried researching some of the individual parts (I'm not familiar with the S1-X Cam) and then decided to ask the experts.

3800 S/C from a 1999 Regal GS

'Rebuilt' with everything but a new crankshaft.
- S1-X camshaft
- 'larger' valves
- 105LBS valve springs
- port and polished intake
- port and polished 'stage 2' heads
- roller timing chain
- port and polished s/c
- zzp intercooler
- 3.0 Modular pulley
- cold intake (knn)
- head studs
- custom tune from fast fieros
- vette fuel pump
- west coast fiero headers
- spin tech exhaust
- 5spd getrag with cryo'd gears

He claims that before he put on the west coast headers that the wiring harness was damaged from the custom headers on whoever did his previous build. Sinister (ft Wayne) redid the harness with heat shield. After he put on the new headers, the car is throwing the same codes as it did from the previous wiring harness problem. He is certain that it is the wiring harness that needs replaced/repaired.

Wiring harness aside, What times would you roughly estimate from this?

Thats crazy, since I ran a 12.86 @ 104 with just a 3.5" pulley, PP blower, plog, ported manifold, and 3" CAI and 3" exhaust. I would think somewhere around low-mid 12's (12.4s)

Depends on that fast fieros tune. It should be low 12's area with a dead nuts tune.

the 1/4 miles time also depends on altitude, air pressure, and temperature

I know that with those modifications a GTP coupe would run low 13's (13.0-13.3) with a proper tune.
although that is with the 4T65E transmission. with the Getrag 5-speed it may be .25-.40 seconds slower.

and if you account for the weight of a fiero (about 700-900 pounds less) I would estimate the time to be in the 12.4-12.7 range depending on how well you shift and at what RPM's you shift at. if you went to a drag strip in a state with more humidity, it has the potential to take off as much as .20. but there are still the factors I mentioned.

if you want the best time, don't go down the strip at mid-day as the air pressure is at it's lowest. go in the mid-late afternoon.
also, the lower the altitude the thinker the air is. If you did a pass at sea level results should be pretty good. 1000 feet above sea level - slightly slower time, and so on.
because at higher qaltituded your engine is working harder to suck in the glorious oxygen.

try taking a brisk run at 5,000 feet above where you currently live, you will be out of breath in a shorter amount of time. this works the same for engines.

hope this helps.

and I hope you take a video

Hoping I will be able to.

If just looking at the car, what is the easiest way to diagnose a wiring harness issue and that its not another issue?

U right I didn't see the ZZP Intercooler (Full Size)??? Low/Mid 12's.
I ran 13.3 with a Fast Fiero "base" Tune with a 3.1 pulley. When I changed my custom tune and 3.0 pulley I went 12.3.
