I would like to get the ZZP HV3 insert for my L26 intake, however, there is no way I'm paying $200 for a piece of plastic like that. I would like to make my own, out of the 12ga sheet of steel I have on my bench. Has anyone done this or have pictures of the Insert installed in the intake?

I've read you'll loose torque with the HV3 insert.

Yup, that's right. Some torque, not that much. It's perfectly OK with me, being in a Fiero AND having the F23 with the 3.84 final drive ratio makes for more revs, so higher RPM flow/HP is more important in this case.

Do the ER Rockers while you there too. 20 hp gain. BTW you will need to get a tune after these mods.

For the Rockers, yes absolutely, but just the HV3 intake, no reprogramming is needed really. I already asked about that earlier to the person that did my PCM. I might do the rockers at a later date. I'm not trying to get a ton of power out of this L36 just yet, it will be in stages, because I plan to go Turbo at a later date.

How much will you pay? Troll ClubGP as they come up for sale often. I don't like the price either as a brand new L26 Intake itself is ~$75.
However, an TB adapter plate is $99 and a Plubber(Plastic + Rubber) insert is $200. I don't understand the pricing but it is what it is.

Borrow someones and make a mold, then make your own. Or buy one, make a mold, resell it.

The L26 intake, TB adapter and L67 TB all came on the engine when I bought it. I wouldn't really pay more then $100 I think.
