I just took mine out to sand and paint. There are like 3-4 bolts holding it in place, cant remember now exactly..... Just look around the bottom of the frame, and remove the bolts you see. There is also a Phillips screw towards the rear of the frame. Remove that screw, and on the inside of the frame (towards the engine) there is a little plastic "drawer" that will slide out once the screw is removed. When you get the bolts and the screw removed, you have to slowly pry up and in on the frame. It has adhesive on the bottom, and makes it kinda feel like there are still bolts in place. Just pull up with force slowly, and you will feel the adhesive start to give way. It takes a little wiggling and such, but they are not really hard to get out. When I removed the second on on the other side, took me just a couple of minutes.
