Removed all the obvious nuts, screws, and rivets from the rear section of the car. According to one website you lift at the rear wheel well but when I try it's solid as though other fasteners were still holding fast. Any ideas? Trying to remoe to facilitate repair of rust from the inner whelp wells and frame. Would make it so much easier

Thanks for any help...

Did you undo the bolts under the sail panel trim? also around the gas cap door and the nut under the sail panel into the b pillar behind the interior trim next to the seats? also the bolts under the tail lights? there are also rivits hanging on the panel the intake vent is in and you will also have to undo the screws in the wheel well liner.

Check out my build thread some of the pics may help you out.

Both wheel wells have to come off, the gas cap cup assembly, there are 3 nuts under the headliner inside the car, and... well it takes a while. Here's some more pics and details:

I just took mine out to sand and paint. There are like 3-4 bolts holding it in place, cant remember now exactly..... Just look around the bottom of the frame, and remove the bolts you see. There is also a Phillips screw towards the rear of the frame. Remove that screw, and on the inside of the frame (towards the engine) there is a little plastic "drawer" that will slide out once the screw is removed. When you get the bolts and the screw removed, you have to slowly pry up and in on the frame. It has adhesive on the bottom, and makes it kinda feel like there are still bolts in place. Just pull up with force slowly, and you will feel the adhesive start to give way. It takes a little wiggling and such, but they are not really hard to get out. When I removed the second on on the other side, took me just a couple of minutes.
