I have google searched, etc and cannot find if this is a series 2 or not. Would parts from this motor work on an 02 GTP 3800 donor?? Thanks guys.

An easy way to tell is to look at the exhaust ports. If they are evenly spaced it is a Series II. If the ports are unevenly spaced then it is a Series I.

Series I

Serise II

Yea that's the only real way to tell, that and the injectors are unevenly spaced (one going in a different direction then the other two..just like the 2.8/3.1/3.4) as well.

Another quick way is the throttle body on series II the cables come in from the front and on series I it is from the side which is why doing a series II swap on older FWD cars can be a pain for clearance of the brake master cylinder. Dan
