Heck, I dont even know which end is the front on the long front to back line!
Does anyone have a brake line diagram or any pics of your brake lines for an 84?
Also, the new lines dont really go flush with the frame like the old ones where they were screwed in, thats probably expected though with aftermarket parts, yea?
Thanks for the help if anyone can.

You will probably need to "bend" the lines to fit. If they are not coated (greenish) then you should use a bending tool. You can borrow one from an autoparts store. The coated lines don't kink, but the uncoated do.
As for a diagram, You will probably just need to do the best you can. I would think that the only issue will be the front cross vs the back cross lines and figuring out which is which. Do you have the old lines?

I kinda have the old lines, still having a hard time figuring out that one line. And these are braided supposed to be pre bent lines from the fiero store.
I didnt see a service manual for an 84 on that list. I'll search for one.

They are not braided are they? I think they just have the metal winding, right? You will still need to modify them to fit. Which line are you have a problem with?

Sorry. I'm not much of a mechanic. Yea, metal winding. Ok, so you are saying they might have to be bent some to fit perfectly.
I guess I want to see where they go exactly. (I didnt take them all off) and where/how the long one that goes from front to back goes. I wasnt positive what end was the front. I dont think they marked them on the line.
Thanks for the suggestions.

The long line from the front to the back is routed as follows, starting at the front -
Rear lower port of the proportioning valve, through the back hole of the rubber grommet at the frame rail, across the back of the front crossmember to the passenger side and back around the front cradle attachment where it follows a depression in the floor pan over to the right side coolant return line, held in place in the halfmoon shaped rubber grommets that hold the coolant line in the clamps. After leaving the coolant line path back by the rear cradle attachment, the brake line runs up along the arch of the rear lower frame rail to a brass junction block located on the bottom of the lower frame rail.
The Fiero Store lines usually fit very well.
It's disconcerting at first to unpack them and see them bent up to fit in the packing box, but they are marked with tags that say "SHIPPING BEND" where they were bend to put in the box. The shipping bends are in straight runs, so just get the bend pretty well straightened out and you will be close.
Good luck.
Joe
I usually get the car up in the air and the hold the brake lines up near the bottom of the car with extra jack stands while I get the routing sorted out.

When I got mine, they had a couple tags on them labeled 'shipping bend', these parts need to be straightened out. Once that is done, and you lay (what's left of) the old line next to it, it's real obvious which way they go, and should go in with only minor tweaks. Be careful saving the proportioning valve and the 3-way block near the passenger rear tire. Cut the old lines off at the block and use a 6-sided deepwell socket, and plenty of PB Blaster or similar.
I'm going to tackle it a bit again today. Hey, they may not end up in there perfectly, but I hope to at least get 'em in there
Yea, I'll connect everything and then just go about securing it the best I can.
I didnt get any tags where bends were. Just a tag at one end of the lines. The only real issue so far is the long line going from front to back. Just figuring out front and back and all that, but with all your comments and suggestions its made it easier.
