I hope to be a fiero owner in the next six months, and like many, I want to do a bit of modding to it. One modification I want to try is swapping in a C4 corvette digital gauge cluster. I have seen the awesome gauges by Tom, but I can get a C4 gauge cheaper (junkyard near me has a few working ones). Is this feasible (will it fit w/o major modifications, ie. major wiring harness mods, dash cut up etc.) I'm in love with the digital gauges in 1980s and 90s cars, so if there happens to be an easier one to put in that looks nice, let me know please.
I don't know that they'll fit easily within the stock gauge cluster pod, but you can remove the whole gauge cluster pod and cut it up/mod it/make a new one, without messing with the rest of the dash. Someone made one to fit the 4th Gen F-body gauges a while back, to look like the 90 Prototype dash, and was selling a few, but I don't think those are around/available for purchase any more.
Well thanks anyways, and I just realized, I'm less than an hour from Newport, haha. I'll probably end up waiting unti I have the fiero and seeing what can be done. I did see a 1990 riviera dash cluster that looked pretty cool.

Some have put Cavalier Z24 clusters in. I had some C4 Corvettes and their dash panels are expensive to have fixed. Repair shops dont fix one problem...they always rebuild it completely. I sent mine to somwhere in Illinois or Iowa.

Where are you located? If you're in the area, you should join the club, http://vafieros.com/ and come to the meets. We'll be at the Fall Classic show in Newport News Park, this coming Saturday, Oct. 22. Several very helpful people in the area.

Ah, well come to the Fall Classic show on Saturday and check out the few Fieros that will be in that show.
The Cavy digital cluster is easier, as it's an almost direct fit in the Fiero. The Vette cluster will take a bit more work. I'll be sticking G8 gauges in my car soon, I think.
