Ok for the past week my car has developed what I call a random warning chime.

The car has a 4.9 installed in. Very well done by a forum member, cleanest I have seen. I am confident it is not a wiring issue as I have driven the car over a thousand miles before this issue poped up.

After driving for a bit, 15 minutes or so, I occasionally get a warning chime. Everything looks good, gauges wise (even oil pressure), the car is running normally. Its almost the chime that you left your keys in the ignition when the door is open. But that is not the chime.

Thoughts?

Could be a loose e-brake switch connection at the base of the lever in the car.

Chime units are known for bad solder joints also. You can touch up the sold and maybe solve it also.

I had that happen once, and the problem turned out to be a loose chime unit (otherwise known as the "Blue Dingy Thingy"). It was working it's way out of the socket. I reseated it and the problem was gone.
