3.4 dohc cam position sensors location by loudecuz

Help I bought a 3.4 dohc engine and need to know where this sensor is located the camshaft sensor at the LH overhead camshaft HELP i am using a crate motor that did not come with it and need to find it and move it. found the crank sensor but not the the camshaft sensor at the LH overhead camshaft Thanks

You may have 91-94 engine which did not have a cam position sensor. The 95-97 engines have the cam position sensor on the front cam tower (the one with the oil filler) The sensor is located on the rear of the cam tower just by the lifting lug.

you guys are awsom I spent hours looking on the net it is an x motor crate I was using all of the stuff from th 94 old cutlass and did not realize after the harness was done what the swap involved I will check really dont want to remove the head its a new crate motor Thanks
