I haven't replaced the fuel pump in my Fiero before and I'm wondering how much rubber hose I'm going to need. I've been reading that the hot set-up is to use submersible fuel injection hose, SAE 30R10, 5/16. My local NAPA won't get it because they have to buy 100 ft. How much do I need to do the job? And what's the collective view on the type of hose to use? The Gates 30R10 is $20 a foot!

FieroStore sells a new fill hose, and related lines as a kit. I have used it several times in the past, and the price is right, the fit is perfect, and the quality on par. Takes out the guess work.

My only issue is with the Fiero design. My hands are not tiny (Now I want a BK Whopper. ), and there is not much room to install the lines to the car.

1 foot is plenty. They usually will not sell you less than 1 foot because it's sold by the foot.

Edit: Wait, are you talking about all the rubber hose, or just whats inside the tank? If your talking about all, then it will be more than 1 foot. Probably 4-5 total, but the feed and return usually are different I.D. sizes.

The NAPA I have here doesn't sell it at all. I was looking at "buddycraig's" you-tube on this and that's the little piece I was talking about. Let me back up a minute. My car has been holding a constant 40 psi but recently it is harder to start cold. Last night I was coming home and it was cutting out bad, seemed like lack of fuel, then it straightened out. I got home and looked at the pressure and it was below 35 psi. So this morning I turned the switch on to see if I could hear it or get the needle to move on the gauge. No dice. So I spun it over several times and it started. 35 + or - psi. But last night when I raised the rpm quite a bit it hit 40+. So I'm guessing it's the pump, but I've never rebuilt the regulator in this car either.
The engine has less than 400 miles on it since rebuild, a 3.4 hybrid with 17 lb injector's. Does anyone have a piece of that hose they'll sell me, as I can't get it here?

Thanks for the replies.
