Ok, I'm finally running out of things to do before I put my motor back in, but these little details are eating time line nobodys business.

'88 Coupe by the way:

How are the fuel lines run out of the tank? I have everything in place and the fuel filter hanger mounted. I also have a 90 degree bracket that mounted right before the fuel filter.

What I have is a clamp with a locating stake on it, and a little bracket that looks like it screws into it. I actually think i'm missing some mounting hardware. I could see how the line from the tank to the filter is held somehow on that little 90 degree bracket, but that's about all. There's a screw that I put in the cradle bracket that I bet had lines clamped onto it but I don't have anythign that I can find that routes both lines.

Ok, so I read that over again, and it kinda rambles. Anyhow, if anyone has a pic of that general area I think everything will clear up for me. I'm pretty sure it's the same for all 85-88 V6's but don't quote me on that.

I don't have any good pictures of the line routing from the tank, but this might help you in the aera of the fuel filter:

I'm having some trouble picturing what you're facing here but will try to help, the tank has hard lines from the sending unit that reach out the back, then short lengths of hose connect to the lines on the car. The filter has a short little line attached to it, that the hoes goes to.

This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.

An additional hose runs up to a line on the firewall in the engine bay, to the expansion tank:

I think I have it figured out after looking through the parts book. Am I correct in seeing that the return line isn't supported at any point?

The return pipe is supported by the fuel filter clamp. If you look at the picture I posted above, you'll see that clamp makes a sort of tear drop shape. The return line (item 4) squeezes inside the clamp beside the filter, in the point of the tear drop, where the two clamp halves of it meet.
