I am at the point on my swap that I need to put the engine wiring harness back on the engine. I have searched and have not found a step by step. You have to start someplace, and end up with all connectors at the correct place. Maybe some here has some advice on how to proceed? Pictures would be a big help. I have several metal standoffs, and haven't a clue where they all go.

Looks like just over the water pump is gonna be the best place to start, as the C500 has to go to its spot in its metal stand off holder thingy. I have a rats nest there now and need to correct this before proceeding over the two valve covers

Here are a couple pictures of the area you're talking about that might help... they're from a customer's car before I tore it down, so it's a bit dirty but they get the point across:

This is the Alternator, VSS and Transmission switch wiring.

On my engine the alternator harness went threw here. Was a stick shift I am thinking, so for an automatic do they both go threw here?:

Injectors and the MAP connectors. Over , under or threw this black dog bone bracket?

Found an excellent thread on this very question by ALJR. Here it is, for any one else ever has to look it up. sjmaye did a great job explaining the routing of the harness.
