Hi guys just wanting to double check that these are the correct brake pads for the rear's on a 86 Fiero GT. Im pretty sure the brake system/caliper/rotors and such are all stock. Just need to replace the pads as they are close to gone and noticed some squeeling.

The part in question is RAYBESTOS Part # SGD262M "Semi-Metallic; OE Pad Material is Semi-Metallic; Rear". They are from rockauto.com Thanks guys.

Also I noticed my passenger rear caliper sounds like there is a part loose in it. It can be heard audibly when I hit bumps or kick my tire/tap on the caliper. My buddy says its the piston that is loose on it. Is he correct or could something else be wrong with it. Either way I want to get it fixed or replace the caliper itself. Could it be something else?

Thanks all.

It could be that the clip that holds the inboard pad to the piston is broken or missing. Since the piston is a precision fit in the bore, and under hydraulic pressure, I don't know how you could have a loose piston. Maybe the caliper bolts are loose?

If you're getting pads, don't forget to get the hardware kit too. It includes replacement clips and the rubber pieces for the caliper slides. If you're running on the original rotors it may be a good idea to change them. I think I got mine for like $22 each from Rock.

If you're on rock auto , look under "disc brake hardware kit". Here is an example of one on ebay...rock is cheaper.
