I am putting the 4.9 in my car and starting to button everything up. Anyone know how to modify the shift bracket to work the transmission. Not the cable or the shift arm up side down. I am talking about the bracket that hold the cable stationary and is some how bolted to the trans.

You got the bracket that came with the tranny didn't you?

Heat and hammer the stock 125c bracket flat and hog out one bolt holes and it should work - did for me!
