i found this rectangle piece of foam with a capital I shaped cut in it, when i removed my brake booster. Don't know where it came from any ideas?

It's where the handle for the sunroof goes when you have it stowed up front.

goes around the bolt at the rear of the hood that locks it down when you hit something with the nose
right below where you have it laying on the windshield helps to keep the hood from rattling

Great timing on this post. I have the same piece of foam floating around the front trunk on mine. Was just looking at it yesterday for the 10th time trying to figure out where it goes.
