I've done a search and read the posts concerning gear swaps in the 4 speed manual transmissions, however there is a lot of conflicting information about what will or will not work. I am already aware of people who have successfully swapped gears from other Fiero 4 speeds, but is it possible to swap out the 3:65 final drive in the Fiero 4 speed for a different ratio from another donor vehicle such as a early 80's Citation? If so, what problems should I be aware of before I start looking?

Yes, it is possible, you must have the differential ring gear, the output gear shaft that meshes with the diff gear, and the 3rd and 4th gear assemblies from the donor transmission. Someone correct me if I'm missing something else.
