Haw bad is it ? Fiberglass wont work because its rigid and the bumpe is flexible, so it will crack where the two meet. SEM make a product called "problem plastic" that you can get in an epoxy sized tube for about $20 that works well. There are other products that you can get in larger tubes, but they usually need a special applicator. If you have a tear you can reinforce it on the backside with nylon screen and problem plastic, then bevel and feather the edges on the front side to fill with the product, sand and finish like any body filler.
Edit: Now I see the pic, it can be done, but might cost more then finding a replacement. Those flexible repair product arent cheap !

it is a eurathane (sp?) panel. fiberglass will not stick to it well. Use a flexible eurathane panel repair kit from your local automotive (autobody) supply store. They usually list it as a bumper repair kit.

you have an 88 coupe (no SE in 88). the rear fascia is all one piece on all Fieros. In my opinion, the 87-88 coupe fascias look really nice and fit the coupe body well. If you like the "ground effects" of the 85 GT, then you should get the side and front pieces as well, otherwise, the rear will look out of place and as if you couldn't find the correct body part because of an accident. Just my opinion.

If you want to swap a new fascia on to the car in the pic (85GT) you can use an 84 Indy, 85 GT or 86-87SE fascia. These are direct replacements for the 85 GT fascia)

This is my repair thread. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/112286.html Mike was right, its not cheap for the products. Keystone will recondition them for around 210.00 cracks and all. Keystone Automotive - Madison 5969 Haase Rd Deforest, WI 53532
For about $40, you buy 3M "Flexible parts repaip". it comes in 2 tubes, you mix 50/50. grind it down, fill it up, within 2-3 hrs it's ready to gind to shape, put on a skim coat sand it down & prime. I did the EXACT same repair on my GT when I got it. fiberglass WILL NOT WORK on the bumper cover. However, it will work ok on the 1/4 Panel.
what would be the best way to fix my bumper, without buying a new one.
You will come out cheaper & better to just replace that. A rip that large will cost a small fortune for the right materials to repair it correctly. Fiberglass will not work. ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"

sorry for the highjack but I just removed one of the three bolts from the roof a rear clip that bolt down from inside the cabin near the rear window. I am replacing it (it broke off) and wondering if fiberglass would work here to hold the bolt in place. When I do it I am going to try to have it move freely like the other two do.

I will have to look this afternoon because it has been awhile and im sure someone else will chime in but I do remember that there are 3 in the roof but you will also need to remove the bolts holding down the main part of the roof so it can be lifted a bit to get the rear roof high enough to clear the bolt holes and out from under the front roof section. Also 1 on each side in the pillar. The rest should be in the gas cap area and in the trunk.

It looks like there are 6 bolts under the tail lights, 2 in the trunk one on each side, 1 in each pillar on the inside and 3 in the roof inside near the rear window.
EDIT: The ones in the pillars are 10mm I believe and you will need an extention and a deepwell socket to get them. Be careful not to drop anything down in the pillar. It gone bye-bye then lol Hope this helps,
Steve
